Susie and Matt are two of the most interesting people I’ve met and photographed! Susie is originally from Finland and Matt is from Canada and they’re both archeologists. I learnt a ton of cool stuff whilst chatting with them during their engagement shoot in Avebury, which, by the way, is a really cool place and if you haven’t been to visit, you totally should. Anyway, back to their awesome wedding: Susie and Matt’s wedding was one of the most international wedding’s I’ve photographed – people travelled from Finland, Canada, Belgium and all over the UK to celebrate with this lovely pair!
Susie and Matt chose to have a Humanist ceremony. Their celebrant took the time to get to know the two of them beforehand so their ceremony was really heartfelt, lovely and personal. As the wedding was mid-September, the weather was still lovely and warm so everyone was able to spend some time outside enjoying their drinks and canapé’s while Susie, Matt and I went off for some couples photos.
One of my favourite parts of the day were the speeches, Matt’s best men were hilarious and even made subtitles to cater for all the various languages spoken amongst Matt and Susie’s guests. The rest of the evening was filled with lots of laughing, dancing and a few sneaky night portraits in the rain.
