Got a burning Q you desperately want an A for? What do you know, I’ve got a whole bunch of them for you here!

Where are you based?
I live in Groby, which is a village in Leicestershire, UK.

Did you study photography?
Nope! I’m self-taught. I’ve always enjoyed photography but never considered doing it professionally so it was always just a hobby until I decided to attend a few one day workshops and learn a bit more about my camera and photography. I then decided I want to see what different areas of photography were all about and I ended up assisting a wedding photographer and loving it!

Are you insured?
YES! Absolutely!

We think we’d like to book you for our wedding day. What do we do?!
Yay! That’s great!! First, you’ll need to email me as soon as possible so I can check if I have your date available - my calendar fills up pretty quickly and I always feel really sad turning anyone away. (Unfortunately, I haven’t managed to figure out how to be in two places at once yet. ;)) To confirm your booking, you’ll need to read and sign my Terms of Business and pay a deposit which is 30% of the total amount. My terms are electronic so it’s really easy sign (no faffing with postage stamps and such!) and you’ll receive a copy of the terms as well as receipt to prove you’ve paid the deposit.

Who owns the copyright to your photos?
I retain copyright of my photos. My clients get a personal use license which allows them to get the images printed, share them on social media and make their own albums if they want to. This license doesn’t cover any commercial use of the images so if there are wedding suppliers that would like to use my images then they’ll either need to give me photo credit or buy the images from me. If you’re reading this and you're a wedding supplier that would like to use my images, get in touch! 🙂

How many wedding photos do we get?
For full day coverage, I usually deliver between 750 - 900 images. I won’t ever give you all the images that I take on your wedding day as that would be really overwhelming! I pick out the best photos and edit them in my style so you only get the best images.

Do you photograph group shots at weddings?
Yes, I do but I generally advise couples not to have more than 10 combinations and allocating at least 30 minutes to do complete these photos as it can take a while to gather people. The more group photos you have, the less time you have to spend time with your lovely guests and munch on some delicious canapés during your post ceremony drinks reception. Group photos aren’t compulsory though - I’ve shot weddings where clients didn’t want to have any.

What’s in your camera bag?
2 D750’s
Sigma 35mm 1.4
Nikon 50mm 1.8
Sigma 85mm 1.4
Holdfast camera straps
Nikon and Yongnuo flashes
Batteries…lots of batteries.
Memory cards
Yongnuo triggers
Tissues… ‘cause…ya' know…people cry at weddings
Snack bar…’cause I get hangry if I don’t eat.

How long will it take for me to see my photos?
I’ll send you some previews within one week of your wedding and your gallery will be ready within 5-7 weeks after your wedding. I really care about every photo that I deliver so I take time editing each image to make sure I’m delivering my best.

We’re super awkward in front of the camera, is that OK?
Of course! Don’t panic - I’m really relaxed and all 5’2’’ of me is really not intimidating AT ALL. I know what it’s like to be in front of the camera and my aim is to make sure you feel comfortable and we’re all having a fun time. I don’t work with professional models so all of my images have been created with real couples, just like you. My aim is to capture who you are as a couple and my favourite shots are those that are completely natural and unposed. Most of the time, I’ll tell you to completely ignore me and capture you two giggling (usually at me hiding in a bush or something) and just being yourselves.

Our wedding is far away from where you live, do you charge extra for travel?
I do charge a little extra for weddings that are further than 40 miles from my home and for those weddings that are in other countries, I do ask that my accommodation and travel are covered but I’d recommend getting in touch, letting me know where you’re planning on getting married and I’ll work out the cost of everything.

What happens if you get ill on our wedding day?
I’m generally a pretty healthy person and I’ll always do whatever I possibly can to be there for your wedding. However, if something bad happens to me, there’s no need to get stressed as I am a member of two different wedding photography networks that will be able to send a lovely and talented photographer to cover your wedding day.
